The program has just been announced for Melbourne’s hallmark fashion event. The L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival is a 7-day frockarama that promises more than ever before. With a huge program to explore Agenda is passing on some insider knowledge – what we like and key dates to put in the diary.

The L’Oreal Paris Runways are of course a grand spectacle. The seats sell out well in advance so if you want to get lost in the theatre and emotion of a live show then make your move! There are 8 of these showings across the week and each grouped into mostly likeminded designer groups.

It is Penthouse Mouse though that is taking our fashion forward breaths away. It’s a pop-up style exhibition space that has developed a habit of knowing the ones to watch before they make a ripple in the mainstream. This year they’ll host the inaugural Offsite Runways on Saturday 19^th March featuring past collaborators and independent-minded mavericks. There’s an 8pm and 10pm show.

The Cultural Program always holds a thousand treasures. A week of exhibitions, parties, installations and workshops to be held in honour of the city’s fashion creative’s – and many are free.  Our picks include ACMI’s Fashion Models on Film – a collection of films in an exploration of the modelling industry from all angles; and, Circa Nocturna – a stand alone fashion event that is a celebration of how far you can push alternative fashion.

Lastly, let’s shop! The original London Fashion Weekend event is here for the first time. The LMFF special event will see favourite designers such as Arabella Ramsay, Alpha 60, Manning Cartell, Life with Bird and more collaborating on a designer warehouse sale with up to 70% off RRP. The event runs from 18-20^th March at Central Pier, Docklands.
