Blue Mountains Sparadise
Blue Mountains Bathing Bliss
Our mission. Escape the concrete jungle of the city for a weekend of relaxation and pampering – without blowing the budget! Mission more than accomplished, Japanese style, at Blue Mountains Sparadise.
Only two hour’s drive from Sydney, but worlds away from the manic pace of the city, this is the only Japanese Onsen (hot spring) in New South Wales where you can experience Japanese spa culture and therapeutic bathing rituals.
The bathhouse offers indoor and outdoor mineral baths, heated by volcanic rock imported from New Zealand and rich in calcium and iron to aid circulation, a herbal steam bath, Japanese showers, therapeutic massage and luxurious facials for visitors, like yours truly, who feel the need for a little extra indulgence. A relaxation room and zen garden with a reflexology path designed to massage your feet while you take in the beautiful views all add to the Japanese vibe.
Sparadise is perfect for a day of pampering or, better yet, make a whole weekend of it to really wash away the stresses of modern living. You can stay in either the Tudor House which offers gorgeous views over Lake Lyell and a quirky and eclectic mix of Tudor features in the shared areas and more minimalist Japanese inspired décor in the rooms or, if you’re on a budget, in a more basic but very comfortable cabin room.
Make sure you take time to visit the charming tea house for organic herbal teas brewed from their very own herbs. Delish!
