Come Together 2010 at Luna Park
Come together with us while the Queen does her own thing
April 21,2010
If the Queen has gone and forgotten to invite you to her birthday yet again, no need to worry. There’s something else going on over the June long weekend and we reckon it’ll be a lot more fun anyway. The Come Together Festival 2010 is on for young and old at Luna Park.
This is a festival celebration for all ages, offering free rides, serving cold beer and showcasing some of Australia’s finest talent. The 2010 line-up has just been announced and we suggest you stage dive right in there and grab your tickets immediately, because on past performances they won’t be available for long.
There are a few reasons why the Come Together festival is so good. The main one being the music. We now know this year’s line-up includes Bertie Blackman, Kisschasy, The Butterfly Effect, British India, Gyroscope, Toe to Toe and many more.
Started in 2005, Come Together is famous for presenting bands that go on to make it big as well as showcasing Australia’s already established best. The Grates, Sarah Blasko, the Presets and Josh Pyke have all played at the festival.
Other reasons why we love it are its all-ages policy, which means it attracts a mixed crowd where you’re not going to feel out of place just because you’re already past puberty. Another is that all rides are free with your ticket, so you can drink lots of beer and then have a go on the Flyer Saucer. (Actually we don’t recommend this as we’re into drinking alcohol responsibly and that really wouldn’t be!)
There will be further line-up announcements as well as surprises on the night, but clearly it’s already looking far too good to miss.
