Top music acts and the spectacular Lighting The Sails make for a sensational Vivid LIVE at Sydney Opera House, on from 25th May to 3rd June.
As part of Vivid Sydney’s annual festival of Light, Music and Ideas, Vivid LIVE 2012 brings a stellar line up of international acts including Janelle Monáe, the front woman of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Karen O in Stop the Virgens, new songs written and performed by Sufjan Stevens (vocals), Bryce Dessner (guitar) and Nico Muhly (piano & keys), as well as local artists including The Temper Trap, Seekae and PVT. Plus don’t miss the free light show, the spectacular Lighting The Sails that will see the House bathed in colour and light every night.
The highlight show is Karen O in STOP THE VIRGENS – 30th May to 3rd June.

Seven years in the making and featuring over fifty artists onstage, Karen O’s STOP THE VIRGENS is the coolest show you’ll see this year. It’s created by Karen O, the frontwoman of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, in collaboration with KK Barrett, production designer behind Being John Malkovich and Lost In Translation, and indie theatre/film director Adam Rapp (Red Light Winter, In Treatment).

For the first time, you can also go on exclusive behind-the-scenes tours before the show taking you backstage inside the creative hideouts and halls of the Opera House.
