Buffalo Dining Club
Join the stampede and check out Darlinghurst’s newest treasure
February 20,2012
One of the best things any bar or restaurant can do is live up to its name. Buffalo Dining Club in Darlinghurst does just that, delivering an intimate dining experience and offering some of the finest delicacies from this side of the world and the other.
As the name suggests buffalo features heavily on the menu, but don’t worry, this isn’t some extreme meat challenge. Buffalo Mozzarella is the name of the game, and you can get it on it’s own (with a choice of two sides), on a burger, or if you’re feeling fancy the boys will serve you Caccio e pepe (a simple spaghetti dish) from a hollowed out wheel of Buffalo pecorino cheese. And don’t worry about quality, the cheese is air freighted in from Italy three times a week.
The wine list is also worth your time, with entries from exotic places like South Africa and Lebanon, as well as trusted Aussie options and a house red or white for only $7 a pop.
The beauty of Buffalo Dining Club is in the little things. From the scrabble letters which adorn the wall of wine, to wine glasses, to the mismatched serving plates, the detail that has gone into this otherwise rustic venture is insane. Also insane is the home made panacotta gelato, which in keeping with the theme, is made from 50% Buffalo Milk and is beyond delicious.
This cheesy paradise is well worth a look.
