The North Shore is one of Sydney’s most distinctive areas and it is Alex Kearns new venture that is making this part of town a serious dining destination.
After achieving success with the amazing Glebe Point Diner, working partner and chef Alex Kearns is now expanding horizons with the launch of the group’s latest venture Neutral Bay Bar and Dining.
Kearns, along with the entire carefully recruited professional team knows what we want and is now serving it up to us. As Alex describes the offering, “We really are focusing on creating an approachable and affordable dining hall. Guests should feel warm, comfortable and welcome, as though it’s their second home – and the service will reflect this with professional and personable staff.”
He leads the kitchen brigade and has maintained an elegant informality, in a great contemporary space offering diners classic French and Italian techniques, while making sure his much loved and respected signature of creative edge and imaginative vibrancy are still on show.
The innovative menu lists the provenance of the premium produce with dishes such as Snapper broth with flesh & chilli, Pure Suffolk lamb with white beans and cavalo nero, New Zealand Snapper with Pebre Salsa and one must not go past the Cardamon & Pistachio tart.
Following a simple but demanding philosophy and promoting quality and seasonality has seen all of Alex’s projects garner huge success and it is a formula that clearly works.
However, it is the ambience that really underlies the success of their new venture, and that is the simple authentic formula of warmth and passion along with a distinctively personal touch.
