Double Roasters
For those who want a proper roasting.
March 06,2012
Double Roasters café spawned from a desire to offer locals a decent cup of coffee. Owners Scott Robertson (ex Pigeon Coffee, Surry Hills), James Brown and Garry Parkes (Avenue Road Cafe, Mosman) researched, sipped and observed coffee for a while before developing a blend of their very own creation. The rest as they say, is history.
Maybe it was the coffee, or the thrill of creating something new, but the Double Roasters gang didn’t just stop at one blend. They kept going until they had enough to fill a shop and sell to people from 6am every day of the week.
Double Roasters is now firmly placed as a favourite of the inner western Sydney suburb of Marrickville. Set in a converted 1950s warehouse, the setting is a perfect reflection of the grassroots concept and community vibe that the inner west now epitomises. Customers can sit back in the mish mash of outdoor furniture, under exposed timber beams and industrial lights sipping unique coffee and munching on some great breakfast and lunch staples.
For a high quality coffee experience in a city that has more coffee shops than coffee drinkers, head to Double Roasters while its hot.
