Haciendas
Shaking to the beat of its own maracas
March 29,2012
Tucked away on quaint little Glenayr Avenue, just curb of the Bondi hustle and bustle, is a brand spanking new breath of fresh fiesta air. Hacienda, the latest addition to the eastern side, is filling the Latino eatery void.
Merely a few weeks old, this hidden gem has already managed to shake to the beat of its own maracas. Ozing pizzazz the second you walk through the door, it’s decked out in an eclectic assortment of rustic mismatch furnishings (that extend to a gorgeous outside courtyard), bright red walls and a life sized matador silhouette.
The menu is a delightful selection of simple yet bountiful Spanish tapas with a special section dedicated to the traditional Tex Mex favourites (for all your nachos and taco needs). We highly recommend you get your hands on a serving of the ridiculously delicious Gorgonzola Gnocchi; each bite size piece will melt in your mouth.
You can watch all the delectable goodness come to life with the kitchen unusually situated in a tiny corner at the end of the bar. French head Chef Serge will whistle away as he quickly works his magic bringing food to your table with a blink of an eyelid.
For the moment, Hacienda’s is BYO so don’t be shy to bring on down a bottle of your favourite vino.
