Miss Marmalade
Grab a coffee from the lady in red
March 22,2012
Bondi Junction has a new coffee mistress and her name is Miss Marmalade.
Latte sippers are welcomed into the fresh store on Oxford Street by a mammoth mural of Miss Marmalade herself, looking seductively sweet and ready to serve hungry passers-by. The little lady in red is irresistible and only the start of a fulfilling food and beverage experience.
The café is very much designed for those wanting a quick coffee hit on their way to work, with rustic stools, mismatched coffee tables and a lot of standing space for the queues of people waiting for their freshly brewed coffee. Miss Marmalade’s coffee of choice is Di Gabriel and they’re the only ones in Bondi who use it.
Take a look at the blackboard for daily specials including create your own yogurt, granola and fresh fruit breakfast, sumptuous croissants and pastries sourced from bakeries across Sydney and a selection of juices and trendy T2 tea.
Lunch is also covered at Miss Marmalade, with an extensive selection of gourmet rolls on sourdough bread. Comically named Desperate Housewife, Hot Chick, Man Up and High Flier, the rolls are packed to the brim with a sumptuous combination of meat, veggies and unique sauces.
This place certainly has a je ne sais quoi about it. Maybe it’s the sultry Miss Marmalade herself or the cheeky baristas who make interesting small talk while frothing milk. Whatever it is, this café brings a breath of fresh air to the tired north end of Bondi Junction and we’re sure it will attract a band of loyal Miss Marmaladites.
