The Hill Eatery
A new hill in North Bondi
July 04,2012
The uber cool trio from North Bondi’s Porch and Parlour Cafe are at it again. Late last week The Hill Eatery landed on Campbell parade, right around the corner from its sister café.
This new addition is already a buzz with an undeniable vivacious atmosphere being felt before you step through the door. It’s decked out in materials of the raw and industrial variety, featuring a beautifully crafted floor made purely from recycled wood. The subdued lighting, part candles, part fittings made from old mechanics fixtures is perfectly sprinkled throughout the eatery.
Designed with the concept of how they would entertain at home in mind, the menu has been hand picked to showcase a carefully balanced collaboration of meat and seafood. The quality of the produce is second to none, with an organic focus, each ingredient has been carefully sourced and selected. The beef comes all the way from organic beef farm ‘Old Mans Gully’ in Scone.
Be sure to save room for the Hill tales, an elegantly designed cocktail offering that assures there will be no shaken, only stirred. This list is of the built-drink only variety, a nice sophisticated change from the regular run of the mill cocktails that seem to be on every menu. Just to sweeten the deal, all syrups used on these liquid delectable delights are home-made by the owners.
You can immediately see that each aspect of the hill has been meticulously thought out and carefully crafted with a sense of each owner’s personality and passion prevalent at every turn.
