If anyone dares to criticise the small bar scene in Sydney you can send them straight to Mr Falcon’s to eat their words. Vintage chandeliers, mismatched velvet sofas and random hat stands all combine to give the feel of your grandmothers house, which makes enjoying a few too many beverages both very comfortable and slightly weird.

Located in the heart of Glebe, also known as student-ville, with UTS, Notre Dame and Sydney University all within walking distance, the dress code for Mr Falcon’s is casual, to put it formally. Uni students are also dirt poor, so that means you’ll enjoy a very affordable light meal and beverage menu to the sound of chilled jazz and up and coming artists in a kick-your-feet-up style atmosphere.

The drinks are perfect for the post-work or uni crowd; cocktails and sangria for the ladies, an impressive selection of boutique beers like the fruity German drop 4 Pines Hefeweizen for the lads and house wine and spirits for everyone in between. Stomach liners include cheap toasties, cheese platters, meze plates and if you’re there at the right time- fairy bread!

Mr Falcon’s is also open for functions, so bring your posse of skinny jeaned, skinny tie and hatted uni hipsters to Glebe Point Road for a chilled out celebration among an array of comfy couches, friendly faces and quality booze.
