Occupying the Balatro Gallery, tucked just off Broadway is Old Vogue, a mecca for lovers of all things 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s or 90’s. Upon entering the spacious shop, you’re confronted with racks upon racks of vintage, designer glory. Dresses, including day dresses, party dresses, wedding dresses and evening gowns, tops, shorts, skirts, pants, jackets; it’s all here.

Old Vogue also boasts a Topshop section that would make any Londoner (or Melburnian) feel at home. Another highlight is the fur coat section, while this can be a controversial area for some fashionistas, Old Vogue has a top quality range of both real and faux fur coats. And let’s not forget the shoes! Finding vintage shoes in anything over a size 6 can be a challenge; thankfully Old Vogue has sourced shoes of ALL sizes.

If that weren’t enough, a trip up the stairs reveals a wonderland of vintage furniture, sourced both locally and from Europe. From Chiswell cabinets in perfect condition to antique Victorian chaise lounges, every item has been hand picked for its quality and value, meaning everything you see simply takes your breath away.

The sheer size of Old Vogue means that it takes a little patience to get through everything,  but don’t worry too much, it’s likely you’ll back again and again to this vintage wonderland.
